About Athiti

A small travel company that would rather be trusted than large.

Athiti coordinates stays, home food and rides in a few parts of India we actually know. This page says what we are, what we are not, and how we make money.

What Athiti is

Athiti is a travel coordination service. You tell us where you are going and what you need; a person finds the room, the meal and the car, checks they are real and available, and puts the price and terms in writing before you pay anything.

That is a deliberately unglamorous description. There is no booking engine behind it yet, no instant confirmation and no inventory you can browse. What there is: named hosts in specific towns, and someone who answers when the plan changes.

What Athiti is not

It is not an OTA. It does not have national coverage, live availability, or a million listings. It is not an app. And it is not, today, a platform where you can complete a booking without talking to anyone.

Several of those things are being built. Until they exist, this site labels them being built rather than describing them in the present tense.

Where we work

Three corridors, at three different stages: Kodagu is live, coastal Karnataka is assisted, and Nashik and Trimbakeshwar is being built. Every page on this site tells you which one applies before you send anything.

How we make money

Athiti takes a commission from the partner on confirmed bookings. Travellers are not charged a service fee, and planning help is free whether or not you end up booking.

The rate is not published yet

Athiti's own records currently show more than one commission structure, and publishing a number we might have to correct would be worse than publishing none. Partners get the rate in writing during onboarding, before they accept any booking.

How we handle trust

We visit properties or walk through them on video. We eat at the kitchens. We see licences and vehicle papers before a driver takes a guest. Rates and house rules are agreed in writing before anything is listed.

What we do not do is award ourselves badges. There are no verified ticks on this site, no guest counters and no review scores, because none of those would currently mean anything.

What we are building next

  • Real availability. A calendar hosts keep current, so confirmation stops depending on a phone call.
  • Online payment. Card and UPI through a licensed payment partner, with refunds and partner settlement handled properly.
  • Verified reviews. Published with names, dates and consent, once enough real stays have happened to make them worth reading.
  • More corridors. Decided by where requests actually come from, not by where the market looks biggest.

Who is behind it

To confirm The founding team, the registered entity name and the registered address are pending sign-off. This section will name real people, because a travel company that will not say who runs it has not earned anyone's money.

Small enough to know the hosts by name.

Every property on this site is somewhere we have stood, and every kitchen is one we have eaten at. That is the whole basis of the thing — and the reason we cover three corridors rather than a map.
